Before leaving for a full day of wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park, enjoy your breakfast at the lodge. We'll travel to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. In order to fulfill their instinctive role in the inevitable cycle of life, wildebeest go through a series of experiences that are all driven by the same ancient rhythm: a frenzied three-week period of territorial conquests and mating; the survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; and replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that results in more than 8,000 calves per day.

After having breakfast at the camp, we'll drive to a camp for a full day of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti's middle region. Later in the afternoon, we'll return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay. The park is renowned for its big 5 fauna, in notably the big 5 which are called for the five most valuable trophies won by hunters. Lion: The Serengeti is believed to be home to the largest number of lions in Africa, partly because it has many different prey species.

After breakfast at the camp, departure for a full-day crater tour game drive with a picnic lunch in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We'll travel to the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in the evening for dinner and the night. A deep, volcanic crater that is the world's largest unflooded and unbroken caldera serves as the crowning glory of Ngorongoro. The Ngorongoro Crater, which is around 20 km broad, 600 m deep, and 300 km in size, is a spectacular natural wonder. As one of the main characteristics of the crater, Lake Magadi is a sizable but shallow alkaline lake located in the southwest corner. Hippos, flamingos, and other water fowls are frequently spotted here.

The final day, we'll take you to Manyara, which is the ideal place to get acquainted with Tanzania's birdlife. Even a first-time traveler to Africa could expect to see 100 of the more than 400 species that have been documented there in a single day. The fabled tree-climbing lions and massively tusked elephants of Manyara prefer to congregate in a narrow band of acacia woodland that runs across the interior of the floodplain. We'll depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast, then return to Arusha in the afternoon to drop you off at the airport in time for your flight to another location or back home.
